Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Programs for Latinos: The Latino Behavioral Health Partnership (LBHP)
In 2002, the Pennsylvania Association of Latino Organizations established the Latino Behavioral Health Partnership to constructively address the unmet needs of the Latino community in the area of behavioral health services.

The intent of the Latino Behavioral Health Partnership is to facilitate the establishment of community based bilingual and bicultural programs in collaboration with county governments, state agencies, community- based organizations, and managed care organizations.


Latino Youth Sexual Abstinence Curricula:  "It's A Better Life"
The Latino Youth Sexual Abstinence Project: "It's a Better Life" provides a community based abstinence strategy that is coordinated in terms of technical assistance, staff training, and performance based research measurements utilizing a standardized curricula.
 
This curricula, developed specifically for PALO is made available to participating member organizations.  The interactive lessons are available through the internet, CD-ROM, and in print and are targeted specifically to middle-school and high-school age Latino youth.
