The Pennsylvania Association of Latino Organizations, Inc. (PALO) is a not for profit membership organization composed of Latino community based human services and economic development organizations located throughout the Commonwealth. It is the only Latino statewide entity dedicated to the strengthening of Latino centers through economic development, capacity building, education, and creation of effective bilingual/bicultural community services across Pennsylvania. Our members reach from the shores of Lake Erie to the Lehigh Valley; from the Pennsylvania Dutch country to Philadelphia.
Through its member organizations, PALO implements strategies to meet the needs of the Latino community. Some of our members face the immense challenge of providing services to under served communities with minimal staff and limited resources. Moreover, we know from experience, that adequate response to the problems faced by much of the Latino community in Pennsylvania demands more time and effort than can be provided by any one community based organization.
That is why the statewide collective efforts through PALO-- whether by technical assistance, advocacy, dissemination of information, or coordination of special projects-- are so critical to helping Latinos throughout Pennsylvania move into the economic mainstream.
